a month in staff time, before any lost sales
Illustration only, not a forecast or guarantee. Recovered staff time becomes a cash saving only if spending actually declines or the time goes into paid work. Tool costs are an assumption; we replace every number here with yours before recommending a scope.
Software subscriptions (you pay vendors directly), major custom software builds, and 24/7 or on-call support. These are budgeted separately and named in your written scope.
One month is too short to diagnose, deliver and measure a real change. Ninety days gives a fair test: 30 days each to diagnose, deliver and measure against the baseline.
We review results together and agree what deserves investment next. You can continue, change plans, pause or stop. Terms after the initial period are set out in the written scope.
Sometimes a short paid diagnostic is the right first step, for example when the opportunity is unclear or several workflows compete. We will suggest it on the first call if it fits, and quote it in writing.
Typical fractional CTO pricing ($9,000–$15,000 a month) assumes a part-time executive for a software company. We lead one scoped workstream at a time for service businesses, which keeps the scope and the price focused.
In 30 minutes we look at one recurring workflow, what it costs you today and whether there is a credible case to improve it. If there is not, we will say so.
