This assumes late enquiries would otherwise close at your normal rate, which is generous. Some late leads still convert; some fast leads still do not. Use it to size the problem, then measure your actual reply times for two weeks.
See the evidence in our speed-to-lead statistics guide and how to fix it in lead response automation.
Common questions
What counts as a fast reply?
A personal, relevant reply within the hour during business hours is a practical target for most service businesses. An instant auto-reply helps, but it is not the same as a person engaging.
How do I measure my current reply time?
Pull the timestamps of new enquiries and first replies from your inbox, CRM or phone system for the last 30 days and compute the median.
